As part of my ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial race, I paid a strategic visit to respected political scholar, Edmund Obilo, in a move that was intellectually enriching and politically significant.
 
I was accompanied by my wife, Princess Gbekeloluwa, and key members of my team, reflecting the seriousness of my mission and the collective commitment behind our 2027 vision for Oyo State.
 
During our engagement, I presented my comprehensive governance blueprint, outlining policy directions focused on education reform, institutional strengthening, economic expansion, infrastructure renewal, and people-centred leadership. I emphasised that Oyo State deserves visionary governance rooted in competence, global best practices, and strong grassroots inclusiveness.
Obilo warmly welcomed my aspiration and commended the clarity and structure of my proposed agenda. In a symbolic gesture, he presented me with a copy of Abiola Ajimobi: Architect and Builder of Modern Oyo State, a publication chronicling the leadership and developmental strides of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
 
Receiving the book was both humbling and inspiring. It reinforced my belief that leadership is a continuum — we must learn from tested administrative legacies while boldly innovating for the future.
 
This visit further strengthens my commitment to wide consultations with thought leaders, stakeholders, and institutional actors as I continue to refine a pragmatic and transformative agenda for Oyo State ahead of 2027.
