Today's momentous decision of our highly esteemed statesman and leader of the party, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, to fully endorse Distinguished Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, PhD, signals a defining turning point for our great party in Oyo State. For some time, understandable anxieties have lingered regarding internal party fractures and whether past grievances would cast a shadow over our collective preparations for the coming polls. Senator Folarin has once again proven his mettle as a true party man, a seasoned statesman, and an exceptionally courageous patriot who knows when to place the ultimate interest of the collective above personal friction. He has risen above previous disagreements and allowed the voice of reason to prevail, demonstrating the kind of mature leadership that strengthens our progressive family from within.
 
We must candidly acknowledge that the concerns and reasons that fueled his earlier grievances were entirely legitimate, arising from a passionate desire for equity and proper inclusion within our political ecosystem. However, true statesmanship is measured by the ability to look beyond temporary setbacks and embrace a pragmatic, forward-thinking vision for the future. Sen. Teslim Folarin possesses a political dexterity that remains exceptionally solid, backed by a formidable grassroots command and structure that spans every corner of Oyo State. His full entry into the active folds of the All Progressives Congress project for 2027, working tirelessly to secure the gubernatorial victory of Sen Sharafadeen Alli and the presidential reelection of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, means we are now marching forward together in unstoppable force.
 
I am genuinely thrilled by this monumental development, and I join millions of progressive faithful in lauding Senator Folarin for this visionary step. This inspiring milestone should serve as a powerful clarion call to every other party member or stakeholder who might still harbour lingering grievances to follow suit and let the overriding, supreme interest of the party take precedence. Unity is our most potent weapon, and division only serves the ambitions of those who wish to see our state stagnate. We must all rally under the shared banner of progress, and leave behind any residual discord so that our collective house remains completely undivided as we prepare to reclaim Oyo State.
