It is with immense pleasure and a deep sense of purpose that I warmly welcome the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to our politically historic and important state. His arrival in Ibadan for a two-day official visit marks a significant moment in our continuous drive to fortify our political structures and consolidate our progressive vision. We are honoured to host a leader of his intellectual depth, technological acumen, and reform-minded pedigree. His presence here not only energises our party members but also strongly reassures our supporters of the national leadership’s unwavering commitment to the progress, unity, and electoral fortunes of the APC in Oyo State ahead of 2027.

I highly commend Prof. Yilwatda for the exceptional drive, passion, and visionary leadership he has consistently demonstrated in guiding the progressive fold since his emergence as our National Chairman. As a seasoned technocrat and former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, he brings an invaluable blend of systemic innovation, digital transformation, and grassroots political experience to the helm of our party affairs. His strategic approach to governance and party administration is precisely what is needed to build a disciplined, inclusive, and formidable APC capable of presenting a united front and reclaiming the mandate in Oyo State.

This visit is both highly symbolic and critically time-sensitive. As Prof. Yilwatda officially commissions the Oyo APC Campaign Office and inaugurates our campaign committee, he sets the operational machinery of our 2027 project into full motion. These facilities and committees must serve as the intellectual and strategic nerve centres where competence, accountability, and inclusive governance are formulated into actionable plans for the good people of Oyo State. The timing could not be more perfect as we intensify our grassroots mobilisation and prepare to offer a credible, progressive alternative to the current administration.

Crucially, I urge our esteemed National Chairman to fully leverage the opportunity of this visit to deepen ongoing reconciliation efforts and bring together all important stakeholders and aggrieved party members. It is imperative that we put every internal disagreement firmly behind us. No personal ambition should ever be allowed to supersede the collective interest of rescuing Oyo State. Engaging with all factions and ensuring that every loyalist feels heard, valued, and integrated into our campaign structure will be the masterstroke that solidifies our path to absolute victory.

I call upon all APC leaders, elders, and members across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State to accord Prof. Yilwatda the utmost respect and cooperation during his stay. Let us seize this momentous occasion to renew our commitment to genuine reconciliation, unity of purpose, and purposeful mobilisation. With a united house, disciplined structures, and the visionary guidance of our National Chairman, I am supremely confident that the APC will emerge decisively victorious in the forthcoming elections and usher in a new era of security, economic development, and progressive change for Oyo State.
